A short thirty minute drive east of Lynchburg in the town of Appomattox, one will find a delightful walking tour facilitated by a informative, full color brochure. This exciting tour covers some of the majestic, "turn of the century" homes in Appomattox. You will also be guided past historically significant buildings, architecturally unique structures, national and local Historic Markers and more. The tour is divided into 2 shorter "loops" for the less adventurous, or combine both loops for the entire breathtaking route. The tour begins and ends at the Appomattox Visitor Information Center.
